Golf vacations on the Costa Blanca and Valencia

There are numerous well-kept and demanding golf courses along the beaches as well as inland. A golf vacation on the Costa Blanca can be inexpensive, or very exclusive as mentioned above. In general, the region from Alicante to Cartagena is an attractive destination for a golf trip to the Costa Blanca, offering many golf courses with very different characteristics.

Valencia - Magnificent combination of past and modern

Those who visit Valencia during their golf trip will not only discover a great city, but also exciting golf courses. The hilly La Galiana Campo de Golf is considered a very challenging par-72 course in a beautiful natural terrain. Among the best courses in Spain is the Golf & Country Club El Bosque. A little to the south, in the nature reserve of La Albufeira, is the El Saler Golf Club, which offers wonderful views of the sea.
Valencia has much more to offer than just golf. The famous old town has places of interest from many different historical periods and can be easily explored on foot. Many restaurants, cafes and bars welcome you along the lively beach promenade. Some offer a wonderful view over the sea. The cathedral is a highlight, and the silk exchange La Lonja de la Seda is well worth seeing. Magnificent futuristic buildings demonstrate the modern image of the city.

Apart from the golf courses, the long beaches of the Costa Blanca welcome you to sunbathe and swim. Among the natural highlights is the Parque Natural del Montgó, south of Denia, with wonderful views of the coast. The rock Ifach in Calp is particularly striking, and is considered the landmark of the Costa Blanca. The fish market is famous for its auctions. There is a beautiful walk through the alleys of the artist town Villajoyosa with its colorful houses. From the Castillo de Santa Bárbara you have a magnificent view of Alicante and the coast. One of the largest palm gardens in the world can be admired in the inland town of Elche. The Costa Blanca offers many romantic places with a backdrop of impressive mountain scenery and a variety of natural landscapes.

Colourful festivals, delicious paella, wine and a lot of joie de vivre

Besides the historical sights, you can enjoy the local spirit on the Costa Brava. Enjoy numerous festivals such as the "Moros y Cristianos" in Alcoy and Villajoyosa which has a 500 year tradition. Mediterranean cuisine is served, with rice dishes dominating in the Alicante region. Valencia is famous for its paella. Tasty stews are prepared with ingredients from the region and the sea. The region offers some excellent wines such as Fondillon. Many vineyards welcome visitors. In the resorts Benidorm and in the big cities you can enjoy a variety of nightlife. Those interested in culture will find over one hundred fortresses on the Route of Castles, many of which bear witness to the region's Arab past.
