The opposite can be said about the famous PGA Golf de Catalunya, whose very hilly terrain requires a precise game.
The Costa Dorada is one of Spain's newest golf destinations. Seven well maintained golf courses are within a one hour drive from Barcelona. The friendly climate with little rain in winter and the comfortable hotels with beautiful spas round up a fabulous golf vacation on the Costa Dorada. In the midst of olive trees and pine trees lies the Costa Dorada golf course. This demanding golf course is located in the hilly landscape near Tarragona and has beautiful sea views. This also applies to the Club de Golf Bonmont, where a fresh coastal wind can be an additional challenge. The Lumine Golf Club in La Pineda has 45 holes spread over two 18-hole and one nine-hole course. The 18-hole Lakes course is considered the most demanding course. The Hills course (18 holes) offers wonderful views of the nearby sea.
Without doubt a visit to Barcelona between the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada should not be missed out when planning a golf trip. The port town offers one of the most famous buildings in Europe, La Sagrada Família, as well as nine UNESCO world heritage buildings.
