Estonians group tour to Costa Navarino/ April 2024

A group of Estonians, with a tour leader Grete Vällo, travelled to the beautiful area of Costa Navarino, Greece in April 2024. The group stayed at The Westin and played all 4 golf courses in the resort.

As Estonia is such a small country, golf isn’t of course the most popular sport in here, but we have quite a good numbers of golfers and it´s getting more and more popular, also golf tourism is growing fast. So we decided to take the trip to the world known and probably the most talked about new golf destination, Greece- Costa Navarino. The group flew to Athens and then took a 3,5 hours drive to Costa Navarino. You would think that this would be a long drive, but actually we all enjoyed the views on the way and had a lot of fun in the bus. And as we got an extra day with the flight departing late in the evening, we decided to visit Athens most popular sightseeing’s, as the Olympic stadium, Acropolis Rock and museum etc.

As we arrived to The Westin Resort, You could already feel the hospitality and coziness. You could never feel lost or not noticed, as the people from Costa Navarino are always there to help You.

In the next days, we played all 4 golf courses in the resort- The Dunes, The Bay, International Olympic Academy Golf Course and The Hills course. I would say that we loved Olympic and Hills the most, because of it´s sceneries, hills, beautiful views and perfect quality. All golf rounds in Costa Navarino are played with buggies, so that is a great asset, as it keeps the pace of play. A really nice surprise was the resort´s golf bag service, so for the whole week we did not have to worry about our golf bags- they travelled from one course to the other, we just arrived to the golf course and the bags were already on the buggies, ready to hit the range or course 😊

All the restaurants we visited in the resort were mind-blowing, the quality of the food and service is just in another level. For recommendations – You should take the half-board option from the resort.

If You are already travelling to that area, I would recommend to also visit Pylos, a little Greek town with a small port and nice restaurants. We took a sailing trip from Pylos, and sailed into the sunset with some champagne and strawberries.
