The 2024 IAGTO European Convention (IEC) took place in the city of Málaga on the Costa del Sol in Andalucia, Spain, from 13-15 May. With some official pre-fam trips, private pre and post fam trips, this is one of the biggest golf travel shows in the world.
Our Tanger Travel Golf team was represented by Yvonne Wolf and Grete Vällo, who both took 48 individual meetings, to offer some new ideas/ destinations to our clients but also to strengthen already ongoing relationships. The event took place at the fantastic venue at FYCMA Exhibition Centre.
IEC is the most cost-effective and productive golf tourism trade event in Europe and is set to attract delegates across the world. IEC is open to IAGTO member suppliers, golf destinations and service providers from across Europe, Africa and the Gulf States. Totally, this year, attended 355 sellers, 6 service providers and nearly 800 buyers.
In addition, the IEC Golf Tournament was played across three great golf courses in Costa del Sol, and each night delegates was also be able to enjoy further networking at one of two Welcome Cocktail Receptions (13 May), the IEC Celebration Dinner for all delegates (14 May) and the Dine-Around in Málaga City followed by the unforgettable farewell Carlton Bar (15 May).
